Book Jack

If you would like to book me for an event, interview or as a consultant you can contact me at jack at jackspirko.net and simply tell me the details of what you are looking to accomplish. I or a member of my staff will then get in touch with you to see if we can work something out.

To ensure you are properly forwarded and screened please put “Jack Spirko Booking Inquiry” in the subject line of your email. My daily volume of email is beyond belief and this will insure you are properly considered in your request. The following is a bit of information about engaging me for specific types of events.

For Radio or Podcast Interviews

I am generally willing to appear on shows be they small or large as long as I can work them into my schedule. One thing to be aware of is my business hours are generally Monday – Friday from about 8-2PM (Central Time). During this time I am at my office. From that location I have very high end internet access and can do interviews by Skype. This allows me to use my podcasting set up and provides great audio quality.

If you are conventional radio show or for any other reason can’t use Skype on your end this is a non issue, I have a standard phone number you can reach me on Skype with or I can call you. I generally am not willing to go into my office during non business hours to do interviews unless you have a large audience. I am sorry but I have to keep some limits on my time.

If you wish to conduct an interview at anytime other than those hours I am willing to do so but in most instances it will have to be done by cell phone. Our homestead is quite remote and land lines are simply not in existence. I am happy do interviews this way I simply wish to make you aware that it will have to be by cell phone which can occasionally cause dropped calls, etc.

For Speaking Engagements

I truly enjoy speaking to groups and can deliver an outstanding presentation for you on subjects such as…

  • Personal Preparedness
  • Homesteading and Food Production
  • Permaculture Practices and Principles
  • Internet Technology, Social Media or SEO
  • Running a Small Business
  • Podcasting

My fee as a speaker is negotiable depending on the venue, audience, subject and location. At minimum when travel is required I require airfare for my wife (who functions as my PR Manger) and myself along with hotel accommodations.

Again any fee will be highly dependent on the venue. For events in the Hot Springs, Arkansas area I would be willing to speak at most events at no cost as a service to the community.

For Television or Video Interviews

I am willing to appear on TV or be featured on Online Video as a show guest, presenter, etc. on any of the subjects I speak on or teach about. If arrangements can be made for a local appearance I generally wouldn’t charge a fee for such an appearance. If travel is required we can discuss expenses but I am generally going to require at least basic travel expenses be paid.

In regard to film crews on my property if you wish to do that on the subject of preparedness, the answer is no. If you are with National Geographic and about to ask for the 30th time, once again the answer is still no. Right now every network out there has realized that “survivalism” is a hot topic. However, I have no interest in revealing where I store emergency items or how I ensure security on my property to the world at large.

I would open my home to video media that wanted only to feature the work I am doing with Permaculture or for something like a expose on the lifestyle of modern internet entrepreneurs. These subjects do not require that I divulge any confidential information about my property. Any such requests will be vetted prior to final arrangements.

In spite of how some of the above may sound I am not opposed to on site visits. In fact I have had many members of my audience over for steaks and a beer on the deck. I simply do not like the way the modern media presents the preparedness topic. It is sensationalized and mocked and my efforts are designed to present it as a 100% positive movement. Further only a complete idiot would reveal where they store food, how they provide security, etc. It defeats the entire purpose of basic common sense operational security.

As A Consultant

I am willing to discuss consulting engagements but any arrangements are going to require a case by case evaluation. If you are putting together a documentary or something similar I can and would likely be happy to consult on such a project. I would also be willing to appear as a subject matter expert if it works out for any given project.

If you are like most people and looking for business or internet marketing/social media consulting I am open to doing it but it is something I do on a very limited basis. My primary business is building my companies not building companies for others. It is why I busted my ass for two decades and live in what amounts to a state of “semi retirement” at the age of 39.

However, I do love business and really enjoy talking to and working with other entrepreneurs. I also have a gift for internet marketing and for quickly dissecting problems in existing business units. My solutions are always practical and swiftly implementable by those willing to act on them. I do not engage in puff and fluff feel good bullshit. I know what works, I know how to get it done and that is the value I bring.

The reality is I worked as a consultant for many years, I was even a consultant at one time to Donald Trump but it overall bored me. I was paid a lot of money to outline solutions which were seldom properly implemented. Such consulting required 3 hours of bullshit for every one real hour of action. I no longer have time for such nonsense. In general whether your company is anything from a one man show to an extremely large corporation, I can determine problems and solutions in 2-8 hours of observation and investigation.

My solutions can be delivered quickly on 1-2 sheets of paper. If you think that is impractical please realize that former President Ronald Regan required his staff to condense his daily briefing on the entire global situation onto a single page. Most consultants are complete idiots, they provide 400 pages of bullshit to convey 4-5 ideas. In the end I choose the few consulting engagements I take based on my assessment of these questions…

1. Can you afford me?
2. Can I help you?
3. Do I actually think you will take action on my advice?
4. Do I think I can get it done in a day or two at absolute maximum?
5. Do I think your company is awesome and in some way helping the world?

If you think that sounds reasonable get in touch with me. If you don’t think that sounds reasonable, don’t worry I can guarantee you I can’t help you anyway.
